However, some dogs experience false pregnancies, which I learned the hard way when Luna started nesting; gathering her toys and treating them like puppies. My heart nearly stopped when I saw her cuddling a stuffed bear like it was her newborn.

Anestrus (The “Back to Normal” Stage)
Finally, after weeks of mood swings, messes, and male dog drama, your pup is back to her usual self. This is the quiet phase of the cycle and lasts about 4-5 months before the cycle starts again.
